The seventh issue of True Journal explores one of photography’s most enduring and elusive formats: the book. Alongside artist Kirstine Roepstorff, Rory McGrath and Oliver Knight discuss ‘Archive of Dark’ - revisiting the ideas, conversations and process that came about during its making, whilst unfolding the nuances and complexities of collaboration between artist, designer and publisher. The Archive of Dark is a book project acting as an epilogue to a body of work investigating darkness that included three separate yet coherent exhibitions; Influenza, Theatre of Glowing Darkness, 2017; Renaissance of the Night, 2018 and EX CAVE, 2019.
